Charles Edwards, Maggie O’Neill and Katie Braithwaite from Stewarts will be taking part in the 2023 Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) annual cycling challenge. We will be embarking on three days of cycling, starting on 18th May 2023 in Strasbourg, France. Please support us as we make our way through the roads of France, colourful towns of Germany and the vast natural beauty of Switzerland. We will end up in Schaffhausen, Switzerland on 20th May 2023.

Whilst Charles has some cycling experience (and all the gear), he draws the line at spending more than an hour non-stop in the saddle and moans constantly about his knees and achilles. Katie and Maggie are complete novices who do not even have road bikes, Maggie buying a bike off ebay for the event, Katie borrowing from a family member.

SIA is an outstanding charity which strives to provide everyone affected by a spinal cord injury with a fulfilled life. 2,500 people sustain a spinal cord injury every year in the UK and SIA supports those affected to access expert information, advice and support. We are taking on this challenge in order to raise money for this fantastic charity and in memory of SIA’s Paralympian founder and president, Baroness Masham of Ilton who sadly passed away in March 2023.
